Make Massage a New Years Resolution in 2020.

Happy New You in 2020

Sunday, January 5, 2020

As we enter a new month in a new year many people (admittedly not all) choose to take stock of the year just gone and vow to make a few (mainly) positive changes in their life for the new one, no need to list them here.

Number one is normally to get fitter! However, what does that mean? It means different things to different people, but to me it means overall holistic health, to put it another way taking personal responsibility for our health through our day to day (hour to hour even) lifestyle choices. Now, i'm not meaning living like a monk! And after all i'm far from perfect myself so I don't expect that. Going to the gym is great, going for a run is great, going for a walk, great, a swim, great, these are all positive (or great) lifestyle choices. But I am a big advocate of listening to your body. A major one is rest, which panics some. However the main one is giving back to our bodies. This is where I really feel like I come into my own with my expertise as a Massage Therapist. If you are reading this and thinking about giving back to you and your body I can personally assure you it will be a wise decision.

This might surprise you. It is ok to get a massage when you are feeling good! Many people (and this is totally fine) first come to me with some muscular complaint and I really enjoy Remedial work, putting together a treatment plan to help that chronic rotator cuff injury or habitually stiff neck. But i'm more an advocate of using Massage Therapy as a tool for optimal health or for stress management. I've clients who come to me once a week, others once a month and some once, all are perfectly acceptable.

If you have any questions at all relating to me and my Massage do not hesitate to contact me directly on my business mobile number (07906331963) or via the 'Contact' page on this website.
