I have just lifted this email straight of the FHT website. It says everything you need to know at this stage. I will make it my mission to keep my clients updated as to how this progresses.

FHT Statement on coronavirus (COVID-19)

Updated: 20 March 2020, 20:35

Dear FHT Members

We are deeply saddened that at a time when positive touch has never been more needed by those in our local community, we are faced with an unprecedented situation where social distancing has become an imperative to protect the health and wellbeing of not just ourselves and our clients, but globally – for humankind.

Following the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement on Friday 20 March - where he has asked for a number of establishments, including gyms and leisure centres, to close their doors - we would now like to urge members to suspend any treatments that involve face-to-face contact with their clients as soon as possible. As your professional association, we fully appreciate the implications this will have on both your clients and your therapy practice, but we have now reached a time where everyone needs to take the next vital step to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

We will be updating this statement/webpage in full on Monday 23 March and will continue to provide information wherever possible, to support both you and your clients. We are deeply sorry that we will not be able to field any queries you may have until Monday at 9am, but until then, please stay well and continue to be compassionate to yourselves and others at this difficult time. As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,

Christopher

President of FHT
